2016 Mayor for a Day Essay Contest

A message from the Mayor:

"I wish to encourage all Crookston youths (4th, 5th and 6th graders) to participate in the "Mayor for a Day" essay contest sponsored by the Minnesota League of Cities. This year, we're asking students: If you were mayor for a day, what would you do to make it easier for residents to get from place to place in your city? For the entry form and more information visit www.lmc.org/mayorforaday. Entries must be submitted by October 17, 2016 to the league office.

"But why not also enter your essay in the local City of Crookston's Contest? The Mayor will treat the number one essay winner and her or his classmates to lunch at Happy Joe's! Drop off a copy of your Minnesota League entry at City Hall by October 17th to be eligible to win the City of Crookston's "Mayor for a Day" essay contest. Please use the same entry form (attached below & available at www.lmc.org/mayorforaday) and return your submission to City Hall. Hard copy entry forms will be available at your school and at City Hall very soon!

"Join the Fun and Give us some Ideas!"
