Snow Removal Reminder

Shovel Your Sidewalk Promptly

Keep a critical part of Crookston’s transportation system moving. City ordinance requires that snow and ice be removed from sidewalks within forty-eight (48) hours AFTER snowfall CEASES.

If snow and ice are not removed as provided, it may be removed by authorized City personnel and the costs for snow removal, along with an administration fee, will be assessed against the property.

NOTICE: Garbage Collection

City Hall and other City offices will be closed in observance of Veterans Day.

Garbage Collection for Friday, November 11th (Veterans Day) will be collected on Monday, November 14th . Monday’s garbage collection will remain the same.

NOTICE: City Offices Closed on Labor Day

City offices will be closed on Monday, September 5th in observance of Labor Day.

Garbage & recycling collection for Monday, September 5th will be collected on Tuesday, September 6th. Tuesday's garbage & recycling collection will remain the same.

NOTICE: Mosquito Spraying

The City will spray for mosquitos tonight, Thursday, July 21st beginning at 7:00PM. The entire town will be sprayed, weather permitting.

2016 Sealcoating Notice

The City of Crookston will be sealcoating the following streets beginning Monday, July 18, 2016, weather permitting. Please park vehicles off street and at least 15 feet from the street. Thank you.

Euclid Ave (Main St to Vance St)
Sampson St (S. Central Ave to Newton Ave)
Woodland Ave (Sargent St to Minnesota St)
Minnesota St (Woodland Ave to Hospital)
Sargent St (Woodland Ave to Pleasant Ave)
N. Central Ave (Alexander St to Barrette St)
Lowell St (Linden Ave to 2 nd  Ave NE)
Sahlstrom Dr (N. Acres Dr to US TH 2)

Street Construction Update

Knife River Materials, the bituminous paving contractor for the street improvement projects in Crookston, will be working on West Robert Street on Tuesday, June 14th, not on Monday, June 13th as previously reported.

The work on West Robert Street will involve milling the bituminous surface from Main Street to the Sampson's Addition bridge. Please avoid this area if possible and use an alternate route to and from the Sampson's Addition while the work is ongoing. Once the milling work is completed, the roadway will be reopened to traffic.

NOTICE: Garbage Collection

Garbage Collection for Monday, May 30th (Memorial Day) will be collected on Tuesday, May 31st. Tuesday’s garbage collection will remain the same.

NOTICE: Request for Proposals to Provide Mowing Service for Nuisance Mowing

Notice is hereby given that the City of Crookston shall receive proposals with the City Clerk’s office, 124 North Broadway, Crookston, MN  56716 until 2:00 PM Monday, May 16th, 2016 for mowing service for nuisance mowing.
