UMC Hosting Upcoming City Council Meeting

The City Council and Ways & Means meetings scheduled for February 9th will be held at Kiehle Auditorium at the University of Minnesota Crookston instead of Crookston City Hall. The City Council meeting will begin at 7:30PM, with Ways & Means following.

The official notice is attached below, and meeting agendas will be attached to the calendar when they have been finalized.

Special Session of Ways & Means Committee

A special session of the Ways & Means Committee will meet on Thursday, January 22nd at 7:00pm in the Conference Room at City Hall. The agenda are attached below, as well as to the City Calendar.

January 19th Garbage Collection to be Postponed

City Hall will be closed on Monday, January 19th in observance of Martin Luther King Jr. Day. Garbage collection scheduled for Monday, January 19th will take place on Tuesday, January 20th. Tuesday's garbage collection will remain unchanged.

Downtown Snow Removal Notice for January 13th, 2015

Downtown snow removal will take place beginning at midnight tonight barring unforeseen heavy snowfall or other emergency.

Please try to park in off-street parking lots.

2015 City Development Policy & Review Committee Meeting

The 2015 City Development Policy & Review Committee will meet on Thursday, January 15, 2015 at 11:30 at City Hall in the Conference Room.

Reception in Honor of Services

A reception will be held for Mayor Dave Genereux and Council Members Hector Santellanes & Dana Johnson on December 22nd from 2:00-4:00PM in the City Hall Council Chambers. Cake and coffee will be served.

FEMA Letter of Map Revision (LOMR)

Effective Friday, November 14, 2014 the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) has issued a Letter of Map Revision (LOMR) revising the flood plain map for the City of Crookston.  Properties that have been removed from the 100 year floodplain by the LOMR will no longer be required to comply with the flood plain ordinance.  Homeowners should contact their insurance agent regarding their flood insurance policy.  The City of Crookston recommends property owners that have been removed from the 100 year flood plain continue to carry flood insurance at the preferred rate.  Property owners with
