NOTICE: Memorial Day

City Hall and other city offices will be closed Monday, May 29th in observance of the Memorial Day Holiday.

Garbage collection for Monday, May 29th will be collected on Tuesday, May 30th. Tuesday’s garbage collection will remain the same.

Job Opening: Police Department Clerk Typist

The Clerk/Typist’s primary responsibility is for the management of the Police Department’s law enforcement information system including data entry and records management for Police Department case files. The Clerk/Typist is responsible for preparing police reports for distribution to the appropriate prosecuting authority. The Clerk/Typist must be able to deal tactfully with the public, city, public officials and employees in person and by telephone.

Job Opening: Library Janitor

The City of Crookston is seeking part time help for janitorial services. This job will pay $12.00 per hour. Hours worked will vary, may be approximately 2 hours per day. Download the application packet below, pick one up at City Hall, 124 N. Broadway, or call 218-281-1232 to have one mailed to you. Application deadline is Thursday, May 18, 2017 at 4:30 p.m.

Twig & Branch Collection

Branch and twig collection will be held the second and fourth Mondays of each month running May through October. Place the materials on your curbside. Branches must be cut in four-foot lengths and bundled in order for the crews to take them away. Any branches or tree trunks not cut to this length and bundled will be left for the owner to haul away. Twigs may be in boxes or bags. Individuals removing their diseased elm trees should call City Hall to schedule pickup.

2016 Drinking Water Consumer Confidence Report

The City of Crookston is issuing the results of monitoring done on its drinking water for the period from January 1 to December 31, 2016. The purpose of this report is to advance consumers' understanding of drinking water and heighten awareness of the need to protect precious water resources.

After you've found something fun to do, register online, call Parks & Recreation at 281-1242, or stop by City Hall from 7:30-4:30 on weekdays.

Job Opening: Water Division Summer Employment

Crookston Public Works-Water Division has openings for summer employment.  Applicant must be at least 18yrs old and have a valid driver license.  Average work week is 40 hours completing by noon on Fridays.

Applications due by April 28th.  Salary is $12.00/hr.

2017 Spring Clean-Up Week

April 24th – April 28th is Spring Clean-Up Week in Crookston. Clean-up items will be picked up only on your regular garbage pickup day and must be placed on the street boulevard. Please note: Compost material - grass clippings, lawn or garden waste - WILL NOT have to be in City compost bags for this week only. Cleanup items should be separated into the following piles:
