Crookston Parks & Recreation 2016 Survey

The City of Crookston Parks & Recreation Department is conducting a brief survey to establish priorities for the future improvement of its Parks & Recreation facilities, parks, programs, and services within the community. We will compile the data received and present the results to the City.

"Ride the Red" Kayak & Canoe Race

As part of the annual Ox Cart Days celebration the Crookston Parks and Recreation department will be hosting a kayak and canoe race. The race will begin in Central Park, go to a turnaround point upstream and end back in Central Park, it is a little less than 5-mile race.

Street Construction Update

Knife River Materials, the bituminous paving contractor for the street improvement projects in Crookston, will be working on West Robert Street on Tuesday, June 14th, not on Monday, June 13th as previously reported.

The work on West Robert Street will involve milling the bituminous surface from Main Street to the Sampson's Addition bridge. Please avoid this area if possible and use an alternate route to and from the Sampson's Addition while the work is ongoing. Once the milling work is completed, the roadway will be reopened to traffic.

Job Opening: Parks & Recreation Maintenance Service III

The City of Crookston is seeking a qualified applicant for the position of Maintenance III in the Parks & Recreation Department. This is an entry-level position primarily responsible for the maintenance of parks and its facilities including the arenas. Secondary responsibilities include equipment maintenance and repairs. Position requires a valid Minnesota Class B driver’s license with airbrake endorsement or ability to obtain within six months of date of hire.
