The Public Works Department is headed by our Public Works Director, Brandon Carlson. Public Works is composed of the Sanitation, Streets, Wastewater, and Water divisions.
The Public Works Department is responsible for the maintaining municipal streets, street lighting and the sanitary sewer system and collection of residential refuse, and recycling and repair of municipal maintenance vehicles and equipment. The department consists of the Director, six Street Maintenance personnel, two Wastewater Operators, two Sanitation personnel, and one Mechanic.

Streets
The Street Department is responsible for the maintenance of approximately 45 miles of asphalt paved roads, 5 miles of gravel roads, and 7.9 miles of alleys. The Street Department is also responsible for the maintenance and removal of the City's boulevard trees.
Wastewater
The Wastewater Department is responsible for the maintenance of eight lift stations, 43 miles of sanitary sewer main, 7.9 miles of interceptor sewer mains, and three hundred and twenty acres of primary and secondary treatment ponds.
