Blizzard Update (Dec 18th)

Public Works crews will be out today focusing on keeping streets open and passable. Crews will be following the City’s established street priority procedures, starting with emergency routes and then working down through residential streets as conditions allow.
Crews will also be making quick passes through downtown parking lots. Due to the number of vehicles present and ongoing blowing snow, only limited snow removal around parking spaces will be possible at this time. A more thorough cleaning will take place once the blizzard and snowfall have ended.
Please be patient while crews are out working in challenging conditions. With the State recommending no travel, we encourage residents to stay home and limit traffic when possible. This helps reduce accidents and allows crews to operate more safely and efficiently.
We understand that not everyone can avoid parking on the street, but if you are able to avoid street parking, please do so. This greatly helps snow removal efforts.
